چکیده
Kelantan has been facing several cases of catastrophic flooding, causing significant damage to this area. Heavy monsoon rainfall is believed trigger those floods. This study aims identify and classify the flood occurrence using River catchment’s hazard index (FHI) based on analytical hierarchy process (AHP). developed FHI AHP spatial analysis in geographic information system (GIS) environment. Six physical parameters were selected: annual rainfall, slope, river density, land use cover (LULC); elevation; soil permeability. According model, was first ranked parameter terms importance weight score. Moreover, Tanah Merah Jeli high-risk areas for The present suggests that GIS-based method can be highly effective mapping hazards benefit management decision-making.

Groundwater potentiality through Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) using remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS)
Nowadays the use of remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS) is one of the most powerful cost effective tools to identify and discover the available groundwater resources. In this paper, Lithological Units, Lineaments, Slope, Topography, Drainage density, Vegetation and Isohyets lines have been achieved by stations and through remote sensing and GIS techniques. All layers of diffe...
متن کاملFlood hazard zoning using geographic information system (GIS) and HEC-RAS model (Case study: Rasht City)
Rivers are important water resources for human life, but sometimes cause irreparable damages. The flood plains are fertile terrains which are endangered by flood. Flood hazard mapping is one of the basic methods in flood fighting. In order to decline flood damages, the simulation of the hydraulic behavior of the rivers during flood occurrence is very important. In this study, areas that are flo...

This study recommends a GIS-based (Geographic Information Systems) and multi-criteria evaluation for site selection of gas power plant in Natanz City of Iran. The multi-criteria decision framework integrates legal requirements and physical constraints related to environmental and economic concerns. It also builds a hierarchy model for gas power plant suitability. The methodologies used for site...

introduction: in recent years spatial justice has gained special importance among planners and geographers. since the urban public services form the structure, shape and the nature of the physical, social and urban space, inequities in their distribution cause irreversible negative effects on the structure and the nature of city and social segregation of the people, and serious challenges in th...
متن کاملComparison of classic and fuzzy analytic hierarchy processes for mapping the flood hazard of Birjand plain
Flood is one of the most destructive natural hazards which impose vast costs in order to compensate its effects, especially in areas where there are manifestations of human development (such as cities). Urban development, particularly in the margins of rivers, has increased flood damages in recent decades. The aim of this study was to develop flood hazard maps of Birjand plain based on analyses...
